Our values

Since always, as a family, they have been able to enhance their expertise over the years and keep up with trends related to the world of Education. The Viroux Company pays close attention to the quality of its services and products.

Thanks to Valérie's experience and training as a teacher, the products are selected to support teachers in their profession and enable children to acquire all the necessary foundations. They are innovative and tailored for children. Each year, we strive to find the "new product" through our participation in various fairs abroad. We also test our products with a team of teachers while our crafts are created by Mathilde, a preschool teacher.

Some products in our range are eco-friendly, and we also strive to limit our impact on the environment within the Company through a series of concrete actions.

Human beings are always at the center of our company; we care about the well-being of our employees who feel responsible for their actions. During the peak season, we work with an ETA "Les Dauphins" that helps us with the production of our packaging. Our team is dynamic and will go above and beyond to assist and support you. Don't hesitate to contact us; we are here for you!

Our initiatives for the Environment

RESPECT for the ENVIRONMENT

PRODUCTION SITES – SUSTAINABLE CERTIFICATIONS

VIROUX SA prioritizes short supply chains and intra-community sourcing whenever possible, as well as suppliers who take into account (from design to distribution, including manufacturing) environmental constraints.

All our items comply with European legislation.

VIROUX SA is authorized to display the FSC – PEFC logos on certified products thanks to the license granted to it under No. N002182;

The FSC label affixed to our products guarantees that the product (made of wood or paper) comes from responsibly managed forests and/or contributes to the responsible management of forests. The use of these labels is strictly regulated and controlled.

DAILY MEASURES to LIMIT OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

VIROUX SA has been undertaking various actions for several years aimed at reducing its environmental impact, such as:

  • Selective sorting
  • Paper recycling
  • Raising staff awareness of best practices in waste management
  • Customer information on environmentally friendly products (labels...)
  • The envelopes containing the shipping notes are now made from recycled paper
  • The cushioning materials made of synthetic materials are replaced by paper made from recycled and recyclable fibers.
  • Investment in a machine for the self-production of cushioning materials from recycled cardboard
  • The processing of our CO2 Neutral shipments via Bpost.

MEASURES TAKEN to AVOID PLASTICS and ORGANIZE RECYCLING

As part of waste recycling, we organize sorting through BEL Fibres Co.

We are affiliated with Val-i-Pac under No. 1100530472 and with Fost Plus under No. 004499 for the management of industrial and household packaging.

We are taking actions to eliminate excessive packaging, particularly in the formation of bundles, in order to reduce both the amount of plastic and the weight of packages, and thus the carbon footprint associated with the transportation of goods.

MEASURES TAKEN by our SUPPLIERS

CORIADIS and La Française des Couleurs are committed to financing reforestation projects as part of their CSR approach. They import a wide range of wood-containing products from China: brushes, decorative items, wooden sticks, and beads. Since it is impossible to control the use of wood from ecologically managed forests, they have decided to directly fund reforestation programs as close as possible to the production sites. To this end, they have selected a Chinese governmental organization managed by the Bureau of the National Reforestation Committee: China Greening Foundation. The chosen method is to calculate the net weight of wood exported for each shipment. They have cataloged the types of wood used and calculated the weight obtained once the main growth of the tree is completed. For example, a 7-year-old birch: 1200kg and a 3-year-old maple: 500kg. Therefore, we retain 500 kg per tree planted. We are organizing a reforestation program with a rate of 200%, which means 4 trees for every 1 ton exported. The management is delegated to our Chinese legal entity: Ningbo Trading Limited, and the certificates of completion will be regularly issued by China Greening Foundation. The products concerned bear the "Forest Action" logo.
